Liverpool – Leicester City

Can Liverpool make it 8 from 8 in the English Premier League? Surely this is what the Reds will try to do on Saturday, when they host Leicester City at the Anfield. At this moment the European champions are leading the standings, enjoying five points lead in front of the second Manchester City.

Before the start of the season Jurgen Klopp admitted that winning the Premier League is going to be Liverpool’s main goal for the campaign. And so far they are keeping this promise – seven games played, seven wins.

Last week it was not easy for Liverpool, but they still secured the win during the visit to Sheffield United at the Bramall Lane. The Blades did well on the pitch, but Liverpool “stole” the win with a winning goal from Georginio Wijnaldum just 20 minutes before the end.

During the week Liverpool had a Champions League against Salzburg at home, so the manager Jurgen Klopp could decide to make some changes in his starting line-up. But knowing how Klopp acts, these changes won’t be radical or something like this.

Leicester City are doing really well since the start of the season. Right now the Foxes are third in the standings with 14 points, which is a proof that the manager Brendan Rodgers is doing a fine job at the King Power.

In their last five matches in the league Leicester City achieved four wins and only lost against Manchester United at the Old Trafford. In their last match the Foxes hosted Newcastle United and enjoyed a stunning 5-0 win against the Magpies. Jamie Vardy scored a brace, while Ricardo Pereira and Wilfred Ndidi also scored. Meanwhile Newcastle’s Paul Dummett scored himself an own goal.

We believe that Liverpool will have to play at the fullest against Leicester City on Saturday in order to win. The visitors are very strong right now, so it won’t be easy for Klopp’s boys.
