Juventus welcomes Milan

The Serie A champion Juventus welcomes Milan at the Allianz Stadium in a derby from the 12th round of the league. Despite of the fact that these two teams look to be of a very different quality these days, we still think it’s going to be a good match. Let’s talk about this a little bit.

As it looks right now, this time Juventus are going to have a real fight for the Scudetto. Inter Milan are looking strong since the arrival of Antonio Conte and right now they are just one point behind Juve in the standings. The Bianconeri are at first place, but this season is different – they are starting to feel the pressure of having a real contender for the gold medals.

In their last five Serie A games Juventus are almost flawless – four wins and just one draw against Lecce, which was really surprising. Last week Maurizio Sarri’s team won the domestic derby against Torino, thanks to a winning goal from the centre back Matthijs de Ligt. Few days ago they also won in the Champions League, beating Lokomotiv Moscow on Russian soil.

On Saturday Inter Milan hosts Hellas Verona at the San Siro, so there’s a big possibility that Juventus will face Milan from the second place in the league. They will be motivated to win, there’s no doubt about that.

For Milan it’s the same season again and again. Despite of changing managers again and signing bunch of new players, the Rossoneri remain mediocre at best. Right now Milan are 11th in the Serie A standings with 13 points, having won just four games since the start of the season. The new manager Stefano Pioli is also doing far from impressive so far, winning just one of his matches since his appointment.

Juventus are the absolute favourite to win against Milan on Sunday, especially when they are being rivaled by Inter Milan in such a strong way. We expect to see Sarri’s boys giving their best here.
