Italy – Wales
Italy will aim to achieve a third consecutive win in the Euro 2020 group stage when they face Wales at the Stadio Olimpico on Sunday. We believe you are here for the preview, so let us give it to you.
So far Italy are proving themselves to be one of the contenders for the European Championship trophy. The Azzurri won their first two matches in the group and kept two clean sheets in the process. Roberto Mancini’s team is looking well-organised and very compact on the pitch which is a huge warning for their opponents.
After beating Turkey in their first game, Italy did the job against Switzerland as well. The four time world champions won both games with the exactly the same result – 3-0, which speaks of some serious domination here.
Sassuolo’s midfielder Manuel Locatelli scored a brace against Switzerland while Ciro Immobile scored one more just a minute before the end. The Italian team made 13 shots during this match and achieved a 85% pass accuracy. Roberto Mancini’s boys are in a very good shape at the moment.
Wales are already thinking about the knockout phase of the Euro after winning four points so far in the first two matches. The Dragons proved that the absence of their manager Ryan Giggs won’t distract them from their goals. In 2016 they reached the 1/2-finals of the Euro, and now they are doing good again.
Few days ago Wales achieved their first win in the competition for this year. The Brits faced Turkey, and proved to be more efficient in attack with a 2-0 win over the Crescent Stars. Aaron Ramsey opened the score in the first half while Connor Roberts scored the second after a brilliant assist from Gareth Bale.
That’s the preview for the Euro 2020 clash between Italy and Wales in Group A. The two leading teams in the group are facing each other, so let’s see.
