Inter Milan – Atalanta

The Serie A leaders Inter Milan are hosting Atalanta in a great derby from the 19th round of the Italian league. Two very good teams will go head to head on Saturday at the legendary San Siro.

Despite of being with the same amounts of points as the champion Juventus, Inter Milan are keeping the first place in the league because of a better goal difference. Both Inter and Juve have 45 points won so far.

Few days ago the Nerazzurri had a tough task, visiting Napoli at the San Paolo. Antonio Conte’s team played a great game and clinched a crucial 3-1 win. Inter’s top scorer in the Serie A Romelu Lukaku scored a brace, while his partner in attack Lautaro Martinez also put his name on the scoresheet.

On Sunday the champion Juventus have a difficult game against Roma at the Olimpico, so Inter Milan can hope of gaining some advantage at the top. But only if they win their own game on Saturday.

Atalanta are in a very strong shape, too. La Dea have a record of four wins and one loss in their last five games, currently being 5th with 34 points. Gasperini’s team is just one point behind the 4th Roma, so they are once again in fight for a Top 4 finish.

In their previous game Atalanta hosted Parma at the Gewiss Stadium and scored a dominant 5-0 win. The Slovenian winger Josip Ilicic shined with a brace, while Gomez, Freuler and Gosens also scored for the hosts.

This was a second consecutive 5-0 win for Atalanta after the one against Milan before this. So, with a 10-0 goal difference in their last two games, La Dea are travelling with high confidence to the San Siro on Saturday.
