Everton – Liverpool

Everton’s manager Carlo Ancelotti is doing some magic since the beginning of the 2020/21 season. His team is flawless in the matches played so far. Everton are leading the standings with a perfect record of four wins from four matches played. The Toffees didn’t lose a point in the games so far.
Before the international break Everton proved what they are capable of. The Blues hosted Brighton & Hove Albion and taught them a lesson with a dominant 4-2 win. The club’s new star James Rodriguez stole the spotlight with two goals and one assist. The English international Dominic Calvert-Lewin added one more and the centre-back Yerry Mina scored his first goal for the season.
Dominic Calvert-Lewin continues to lead the Premier League goalscoring chart with 6 goals scored so far. The striker is having a wonderful start of the new season.
Liverpool will have to react to their shameful 2-7 defeat against Aston Villa before the international break. This was Jurgen Klopp’s worst defeat since he’s managing the club. You can be sure that manager like the German will want to see a reaction from his players.
Sadio Mane didn’t play against Aston Villa, but we expect to see the pacey winger back in the line-up in the Merseyside derby.
These are our thoughts about the Premier League derby between Everton and Liverpool on Saturday. The Reds are the reigning champions of England, but Everton are the team which leads the standings at this moment. They look like a very serious team at the moment.
