Bayern Munich – Wolfsburg
In the previous round Bayern Munich had a tough visit to Freiburg, but the Bavarians won for a second consecutive time after their win against Werder Bremen at the Allianz Arena. But their 3-1 win over Wolfsburg was not as easy as it probably looks by the result. Until the 92th minute it was a draw at the Schwarzwald-Stadion and it seemed that Bayern will not claim the win.
Robert Lewandowski opened the score for Bayern Munich in the game, but Vincenzo Grifo equalised for Freiburg in the 58th minute. The 18-years old Dutch teenager Joshua Zirkzee was the hero for the visitors, scoring a second goal in the injury time. Bayern Munich were already ahead when Serge Gnabry scored a third one.
Bayern Munich have a lot of problems with injured players right now. Niklas Sule, Lucas Hernandez, Leon Goretzka, Corentin Tolisso and Kingsley Coman are all recovering right now.
After their win against Freiburg Bayern Munich are now third in the league with 30 points, four points behind the leader RB Leipzig.
Wolfsburg climbed up in the table, too and now they are 8th in the standings with 24 points. In the previous round the Wolves hosted Schalke 04 and won a point after a 1-1 draw at the Volkswagen Arena. Ozan Kabak opened the score for the Royal Blues, but the Wolves equalised with a goal from Kevin Mbabu 8 minutes before the end.
Against Bayern Munich Wolfsburg can’t use the injured Ignacio Camacho, Ismail Azzaoui, Niklas Klinger and Admir Mehmedi.
With two wins in their last two games in the Bundesliga Bayern Munich are looking in a good shape at the moment. Wolfsburg are also unbeaten in their last two matches, but at the Allianz Arena it won’t be an easy day for them.
